- Prepare the Chicken (Optional)
- Flatten the chicken so it cooks evenly
- Add salt to brine the chicken, leave for several hours
- Prepare the pot
- Fill with water
- Flavor to taste: I generally use chicken broth, salt, and goya seasoning
- Bring water to a simmer of around 175 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add chicken to pot.
- Cook chicken until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit
- Place chicken on cutting board and use forks to seperate/shred the chicken.
