Total Time: ~17 Minutes



  1. Prepare the Chicken (Optional)
    • Flatten the chicken so it cooks evenly
    • Add salt to brine the chicken, leave for several hours
  2. Prepare the pot
    • Fill with water
    • Flavor to taste: I generally use chicken broth, salt, and goya seasoning
    • Bring water to a simmer of around 175 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Add chicken to pot.
  4. Cook chicken until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit
  5. Place chicken on cutting board and use forks to seperate/shred the chicken.
